Diverse fish species in Socotra

The Sea of Socotra is home to a high concentration of sport fish species, including Wahoo, Grouper, Snapper, and particularly Barracudas, which provide an exciting challenge. The major indigenous fish, Giant Trevally (GT), can weigh more than 80 kilos and exceed a meter in length. Fishing trips on Socotra Island are unforgettable, offering opportunities to catch Marlin, Swordfish, Sailfish, Kingfish, Tuna, Grouper, and Snapper.

The coastal waters teem with fish, attracted by the unique undersea habitat, creating a virtually untouched fishing area. Most locals are fishermen, and while fish congregate due to bottom terrain and currents, finding an unexploited spot is increasingly difficult.
